I have a simple seven step energy independence program.
1. Abolish or de-fund the Federal EPA in favor of states taking back the role of protecting their own environment. The Supreme Court can work out any disputes.
2. Federal lands not being maintained or used in a productive manner should be returned to the states if they can make the lands productive.
3. 20 year moratorium on any vehicle road tax on Natural Gas, 20 year moratorium on any taxes on energy produced by a Thorium nuclear powered Molten Salt Reactor, 20 year moratorium on any taxes on for Coal to liquids fuel.
4. Create OPIC (Oil Purchasing and Importing Countries) to combat the stranglehold of OPEC.
5. One national fuel mixture for diesel fuel and gasoline.
6. Eliminate mile per gallon café standards for automakers
7. Stop all Global Warming research and repeal all federal mandates and programs that fund solar and wind power projects.
