Debt

Everyone knows that debt steals a person’s soul and their dreams.

Government debt, whether it is Federal, State, or County, doesn’t just steal dreams, but rather, steals a persons ability to dream.

The crime of my what my opponent has done by saddling our county with so much debt, is not that he has stolen our dreams from us, but rather, that our people are no longer dreaming. They see the mountain …….and it is so high they never even attempt the climb. They either leave our county in search of greener pastures or learn to accept mediocrity and stagnation.

Since my opponent has been in office the population of Erie county has decreased, not increased. The many jobs, he claims to have created, are tourism jobs. These jobs, generally, do not pay well, and have little to no benefits.

While a job is a job, these are not typically jobs you can expect to raise a family upon.

Where, Mr. Ferrell, are the manufacturing jobs, the kind of jobs with good pay, where you don’t have to take two jobs just to make ends meet? Where are the jobs that allow you to spend quality time with your family.

It is time to demand more of our county leadership!

The policy by Democrats in Washington, and a few Republicans called RINO’s, is uncontrolled spending in the name of public good.

The policies of Reid, Obama, and Pelosi are the same policies of my opponent and that of the entire county commission.

Just because our country is in debt doesn’t mean we have to jump off that roof as well. (thanks mom and dad for teaching me that).

I don’t think we need more policies, I don’t think we need more spending, and I don’t think we need more taxes. I think we need smaller government that creates an atmosphere to attract businesses that create good paying  jobs,  jobs a family can live on, not just ones that pad the pockets of politicians and cronies.

I am a Republican in a very Democrat county running a race against all odds, and if you are a conservative, or if you have common sense, I need your vote.

I refuse to compromise my principles so that our county government can live beyond its means today, sacrificing our tomorrows, our children’s futures, and our children’s dreams.
